Landing page for the plasma membrane calcium-transporting ATPase (**PMCA**).
Other name for these proteins: Ca\ :math:`{^2}`:math:`{^+}`\ **pump**
Its major function is to catalyze the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the extrusion of calcium from the cytoplasm to the extracellular space.
