A simplified version of the Tong, 2011 USMC model. Several potassium channels are removed and substituted with a representative potassium channel. Of remaining channel submodels, dynamic variables are represented with their steady-state approximations. See doi: 10.36903/physiome.24439204 for more details.

Cartoon schematic illustrates ion channel mechanisms from original Tong, 2011 model as well as later Tong, 2014 additions. Eliminated channels noted as crossed-out. Calcium handling with pumps and exchangers are as given in original model.
