Model Overview

This is the model for the Signalling Example as described in ....

Biological schematic of the example signaling model. Shear stress sensed by receptors (Rtau) leads to IP3 production and store calcium release. Calcium is also transferred between the extra- and intra-cellular compartments via stress-sensitive calcium channels, calcium/sodium ex-changer, a calcium pump, a basal calcium leak and capacitative calcium entry. Calcium leads to activation of calmodulin (CaM). Representative traces of Rtau (y axis is proportion activated), free intracellular calcium and activated calmodulin (µM concentrations) over 25 time units of a constant shear stress pressure are shown
